6th December 2006

A couple of months ago Elio Pace asked me to write a big band arrangement for a new song that he'd written. I did the chart within a day or two and a couple of weeks later we recorded it. I'm particularly proud of the results, especially as the project has involved some very old friends and colleagues. The song is called What A Day and can be heard on Terry Wogan's Radio 2 programme Wake Up To Wogan amongst other shows, and can be purchased as a download from the iTunes Store. Here are a couple of pictures of the horn session - Elio and I in the studio and some of us outside.

I've been working with Tony Hadley's 'Swinging True' Big Band Tour, and the remaining dates are Friday 8th in the Isle of Man, Tuesday 12th in Barrow-In-Furness and Wednesday 13th in Liverpool.

Finally, I have two gigs with Back To Basie on Friday 15th in Malvern and Sunday 17th in Gateshead.
